Jon Maddux (born in Chico, California on May 20, 1973) is a singer/songwriter, entrepreneur and CEO of You Walk Away.

Jon D. Maddux is co-founder and CEO of You Walk Away, LLC.[1] The firm developed a business model that allowed homeowners to use the law to their advantage in a foreclosure situation.
He and the firm have appeared in news publications and on TV programs such as: 60 Minutes, ABC Nightline, CNN, Yahoo Finance, Time, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, Fortune, Money, NPR, AP, NBC, CBS and Fox News. [2]
Maddux began his work as a musician with the piano at the age of 5 years old. He picked up the drums at age 12 and started playing the guitar at 15.[3]
He joined the rock band Deliverance in the early 1990s, playing lead guitar and keyboard for the band from 1993-1995 while Deliverance was signed to the indie label FMG (Frontline Music Group). He was a co-writer on two internationally distributed records, Learn and River Disturbance. Maddux also toured the United States with the band.
Maddux was later signed to Relativity Management by Alex Lipsitz - former manager of Lucy Walsh (Island/Def Jam), and recorded the song “Tomorrow” with Walsh working with acclaimed producers Dave Stewart and Matthew Wilder.
In 2006, Judy Stakee of Warner/Chappell Music Publishing signed Maddux to a publishing deal.
Maddux has written original material with artists and writers such as Steve Harwell (Smashmouth), Chuck Wicks (RCA), Lucy Walsh (Island/DefJam), Kutless (EMI), Juliet Simms (Sony/Epic) Jamey Johnson (Give It Away, George Strait), Jeremy Popoff (LIT), The Plain White T's (Hollywood Records) Charlie Midnight (Hillary Duff, Living in America) Ty Taylor (RockStar INXS)
Maddux co-wrote “Mad Cowboy Disease” with Grammy Award nominated songwriter and artist Jamey Johnson. “Mad Cowboy Disease” was released on John Michael Montgomery’s Time Flies CD in 2008 and reached #17 on Media Base's satellite radio chart.
Maddux also co-wrote “I’m Sorry” which was recorded by Teddy Geiger, released on his record TG33 and performed on his 2009 US Tour. Maddux also mixed “Hotter Without You” by Kimberly Caldwell for Capitol Records on her album Without Regret released in April 2011. In 2010 he recorded and produced vocal tracks for Ty Brown, a contestant on ABC’s The Bachelorette.
Maddux is also credited for writing, producing and recording all music for the upcoming children’s television program Fo Fo Figgily.[4]
In October 2010 Maddux released a 6-song EP "Alive" digitally. The album includes songs all written and performed by himself and is available on iTunes.[5]
